00:00:07 I might have another minute,
so let me turn back to the
beginning of this conversation.
00:00:13 I would like to say once again
that I think it is extremely
00:00:19 important for voters in the Sunday
election to be aware that they
00:00:25 should not be concerned with
any slanderous pamphlet they have
in their hands
00:00:33 and they should only vote on
the basis of what they have directly
00:00:39 learned about the candidates,
and what they know directly about
00:00:43 the political parties concerned.
In addition, I would like to
say that in several constituencies
00:00:49 there is a pamphlet that says
that certain candidates
e.g. Bálint Magyar,
00:00:55 the candidate of free democrats,
should not be elected in Zugló,
because he will be included
00:01:01 in the national list anyway.
I would like to draw the voters'
attention to the fact that they
00:01:08 should not care about such pamphlets
because if they do not elect
Bálint Magyar on this basis,
00:01:14 another free Democrat will be
struck from access to the Parliament.
What I ask of all voters is
00:01:20 that you shouldn't care about anything
other than what you've learned
directly about candidates, parties
00:01:27 don't worry about such pamphlets.
Thank you.
00:01:30 - Can I say something neutral?
- Of course, not just neutral.
00:01:34 - What I would like to say is
that in the interest of Hungarian
00:01:40 democracy and the image of Hungary,
we ask as many people as
00:01:45 possible to go voting.
I want to let them know that on 8 April it
00:01:51 is very important that every Hungarian
voter who can do so should go and
vote according to their conscience.
00:01:59 This is in the common interest of
all of us and this is the
fundamental basis for the Hungarian
00:02:06 future and Hungarian democracy.
And I think that all political
parties should agree on that.
00:02:12 There's one last question,
which seems to be really
important and it has to be mentioned.
00:02:15 - Please say which question.
- The last question is as it follows.
00:02:21 According to the polls,
a lot of people still haven't,
00:02:25 decided who to vote for
in the second round of elections.
00:02:30 The last question is what you
wish to say to voters who may
00:02:35 not yet be in favour of your party,
who do not know who to vote for,
00:02:40 who are still considering,
are still elaborating.
Now, if you like, there's an
00:02:46 opportunity to put it in terms of what
you think the greatest attraction
00:02:52 or greatest virtue in your party is
or what is the factor in which your party is most
distinct from your present debate partner's party.
00:02:59 We decided, before the show,
that the last question would be
00:03:04 answered first by József Antall.
- I think that for those voters
00:03:10 who have not yet decided
or who have already voted,
00:03:16 I can only say that the Hungarian
Democratic Forum wants to be
00:03:22 a European political parliamentary
party, and that is how it works now,
00:03:29 and that is how it intends to
continue to operate in the future,
00:03:37 seeking to enforce
the sense of security,
00:03:41 expertise and human
and civil rights in all respects.
00:03:51 - The Alliance of Free
Democrats was a relentless
opponent of the party state,
00:03:57 and it will be relentlessly fighting
for the removal of the last remnants of that world.
00:04:03 We are for people who are concerned that
local power will remain intact,
00:04:10 that the Hungarian Socialist Party has still
not been cleared of its assets
00:04:14 and you can be sure that the
Alliance of Free Democrats will do
00:04:20 everything in its power to ensure
that the ruling party disappears
and that the Hungarian Socialist
00:04:27 Party and its co-operatives should be
accounted for with their assets
and that this property will
00:04:34 return to its rightful owner,
the Hungarian people.
At the same time, in the same way as
00:04:40 the Alliance of Free Democrats
in the area of regime change
was inexorable and consistent,
00:04:47 it was, and will be, flexible and compromiseable
in order to establish a strong
00:04:54 government
whether or not it will be part of
the majority government
00:05:00 or it will sit in the
benches of the opposition.
